Alexander Technique

Alexander Technique is a psycho-physical educational method that helps to release tension and improve coordination and balance.  It involves a simple yet profound procedure that allows you to (1) sense where you are at, kinesthetically, and (2) have the choice to act accordingly.

The founder of the technique is Frederick Matthias Alexander, a Shakespearian actor who suffered voice problems that were detrimental to his career.  When medical experts failed to help him, F.M. decided to discover for himself the cause of his problems. Over more than nine years of close examination, patience, and perseverance led F.M. Alexander not only to the causes but also to the way to solve his problems, and thus, Alexander Technique was born.
